Hi Stitchers,

Election Day is fast approaching, and Thanksgiving is right around the corner. People will be traveling and we are very glad that the price of gas is dropping. Our lowest today is $2.39 a gallion for regular.  Let's

hope the prices stabilize and our heating oil price drops as well.  For the baseball fans, as you already know our Philadelphia Phillies won the 2008 World Series after a 28 year drought. What excitment - the largest parade in Philadephia history was held with over 2 million people attending. It was fun to watch on TV, as I would not have wanted to battle the crowds. We are hoping for a repeat performance next year.

As you scan our site, you will notice that I have added more R & R Reproduction fabrics. We now carry 10 Ct. Tula, 28 Ct. Linen, 30 Ct. Linen, 32 Ct. Linen, 35 Ct. Linen, 36 Ct. Linen, and 40 Ct. Linen. We had a growing number of requests, and felt now was a good time to add them. 

The new designs keep arriving - Erica Michaels has a series of designs which include 40 Ct. Silk Gauze. Yes, you are reading correctly, or you can also stitch them on any fabric count of your choice. They include Christmastide,  Little Bit o' Autumn, Holly Sampler, Little Bit o' Winter, and My Best Friend.  Heart in Hand has the last in their Monthly Markings series - September, October, November, and December, as well as their 2008 Wee Santa.  Mirabilia has a new mermaid - Bluebeard's Princess Mirabilia, as well as new Letters from Nora Fairies for the letters G, H, and I. Designs by Linda Myers has a new Saltbox Farm, Quilt Sampler XVI, and

Rosy Radiant Star - all are country styling with quilt patterns. Cross-eyed Cricket has a lovely new Rest & Be Thankful autumn house with verse, as well as A Dickens series of ornaments, and a House with a verse to compliment. Country Cottage Needleworks has a cute The Nutcracker with children performing that ever popular ballet, as well as Peppermint Lane of a house with candycanes. Little House Needlework has a

lovely The Angels Sang, and a cute Hen Party design. Their collaboration with Crescent Colours "From Sea To Shining Sea" has arrived.  We have the border and the first block for The West Coast. Pieces for this design will be released each month thru February 2009.  Patterns include silk floss, you provide the fabric.  Mosey 'n Me released a Fall Fox Sampler, Spring Bunnies & Bees, and Merry Motifs with a Santa. Calico Crossroads has released the last two monthis of this year's mini cats designs - Harvest Purrfection for November, and Wrap It Up for December. 

It seems that this year the designers have out done themselves. I could go on and on listing new designs, but feel that you can always look under our "What's New" section and see everything for yourself.

This month we will have a Trunk Show in our shop from Whispered By The Wind. Mari has been designing for quite a few years. The designs range from country scenes to quilt patterns, and she also has designs done in one or two colors as well as samplers. A nice

variety, nothing really hard. We have posted

all her offerings on our site. When you get a chance, take a minute and view her offerings - go under our Designer section, to the W, then click on Whispered By The Wind. We will also be posting a new design called "Cantata" which is her newest release done in red and green with a holiday appearance.

Since I was just notified by the Victorian Sampler that Thea and Cathy Jean have new designs - they will be posted sometime this month after they arrive from Canada. I try to put the new items on the site as they arrive, but sometiimes that is not possible.  We do receive books every day, and a large number come in on Thursday's which causes the delay in our posting. I will try my best to have everything posted by Friday as I know a lot of you like to view the What's New at the end of the week before you leave work. A lot of times when I add new floss colors and fabrics, I do not put them under the What's New section. I just add them under their respective category.  I don't want you to scroll unnecessarily thru fabrics and flosses when most people just want to see the new designs that are released.  I will keep you posted with e-mail newsletters as well as this posted newsletter with regards to the fabrics and flosses.
